Ilana
Harkavi, creator of IL-MAKIAGE, initiated an entire host of concepts that are
continually reinvented by major cosmetic companies all over the world. Before
the inception of MAC, NARS or Bobbi Brown, Ilana Harkavi and IL-MAKIAGE took the
makeup industry by storm in 1972 with their claim to fame, “EYE SHADOWS”! The
specifically manufactured IL-MAKIAGE eye shadow formula has withstood the test
of time, literally. The palette, made of over 500 colours, is made preservative
and mineral oil free. Containing vitamin-E and natural anti-oxidants in a
waterproof, quick drying, non-transferring, silky-smooth textured finish that
stays on until you want to take it off. Incidentally
MAC originated from the former IL-MAKIAGE of Canada and took the concept into
the department stores. Françoise NARS and Bobbi Brown were favorite clients of
IL-MAKIAGE products and consulted with Ilana Harkavi before they created their
own lines.
